Walt to see if sugar can change from a solid to liquid and if that can reversed.

What we did?

First Mr naidoo mixed water with the sugar. The sugar turned into liquid.

Then Mr naidoo turned on a pan he poured the sugar and water into the pan. The water started evaporate. We then let the sugar that was left to cool down.  

I was suprised because I thought that you could not reverse it and bring back the sugar.

Spring is here at last,

Pick the delicious fruit, 

Roaming sheep and lamb,

I can see the flowers blooming, 

Newborn animals everywhere,

Going for a walk in the park. 

telling the time.

we made our very own clocks using paper. we decorated and laminated it. what i learnt this term is how to read time to the minute we also learnt how to show digital time on a analogue clock. i sometimes get cofused when Mr Naidoo tells us to show 11.05 .
i enjoy it when Mr Naidoo ask's us to show hard and complicated times or tells us to show 13 hours.

daylight savings is great.

spring forward.
at the start of daylight saving on the 24th of september we move the clock 1 hour forward.
fall back.
fall back at the end of daylight saving in april, we move the clock back one hour.

The tale of the potato.

Once upon a time  in a small town there lived a old man. The old man lived on a farm with his wife and two children.

One day the old man planted some potatoes  seeds. Everyday the sun came out and the rain fell and the potatoes started to grow  but one of the potatoes grew bigger than the others. One day the old man said’’ let's have some potato soup’’, the old man  went outside and picked the biggest potato he pulled and he pulled but it did not come out so he call for help the old man’s wife came running out the old woman held onto the old man and the old man held onto the potato they pulled and they pulled but it still would not come out. The old woman called for help, the little boy came running out at full speed the little boy grabbed on to the old woman and the old woman grabbed onto the old man, the old man held onto the potato, they pulled and they pulled but the potato would not come out.

Then the little girl came running out at top speed she held onto the little boy and the little boy held onto the old woman, the old woman held onto the old man. The old man grabbed onto the potato.

They pulled and pulled but then the potato came out. The went inside the old man and the old woman and lived happily ever after.

Naruto is a animated character who had dreamed to become hokage like his father.

What is a kage?

A kage is someone who looks after the village. There are 5 kages in Naruto. hokage, raikage, tsuchikage, mizukage and kazekage.

Tailed beast.

There are also tailed beast and jinjuriki naruto is also a jinjuriki. There are one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight and nine tailed beast there is also a ten tailed beast.   

The akatsuki.

The akatsuki is a group of criminals that have their own abilities sasuke's brother Itachi is also in the akatsuki.

Giraffes are mammals that live in africa .  Giraffes have 7 bones in its neck.

Some giraffes have brown patches on their body.

When they gallop they spring.

They spread there legs to drink water.A newborn giraffe may be as tall as a man, when they are fully grown they can be three times the size of a man .

They have very rough skin on their lips and long tongues so that they can pick at sharp thorns on the bushes.

Giraffes are faster than lions. so lions have to lie and wait.

All giraffes even babies ones have horns with black hair.

My Most Interesting Toy 04/09/17

We had a technology expo on friday to showcase the toys we had made with simple machines. It was very exciting to go around and see what the other classes had made.The toy that i liked was room 6s catapult because it could shoot stuff like  a marble.

The things that was used to make it was some popsicle sticks, a spoon or a energy bottle cap they also used a glue gun or some rubber bands.

mayweather wins the match.

Congradulations to Mayweather for winning the boxing match. On Sunday Floyd Mayweather and Conor Mcgregor had a boxing match.  It was realy cool that Floyd Mayweather had won the match but it is also sad that Conor Mcgregor had lost the match. I felt happy that Floyd Mayweather won the match.

How to make butter.

Ingredients:                   what you will need:

Buttermilk.                     sieve.

Cream.                           churn.

Milk.                            bowl/container.

salt.

Method:

First you churn the cream.

Then you remove the buttermilk from the cream.

After that you wash the butter and add salt to it so it does not get old or expire. then you the make into a block or box shape finally you put it into the fridge or a cool place for it to harden up then you take it out and tada you have your own homemade butter.

There was once a boy who lived on a farm . Every Saturdays he would hop onto his bike and ride to the rugby game in town.  He has to ride up and down the steep hills. He has to ride 5 kilometres to a rugby game.

He can’t wait til he gets on the field so that he could chase the ball all over the place and get very dirty when he gets threw on the ground.

When he gets home he is very hot and tired. He lays under a lemon tree and picks two sour lemons from the lemon tree and eats all of it up and  he even eats the skin of the sour lemons .

Today  after we did our fitness we went on a spreadsheet to look at what was our score after that Mrs Ramkalawan showed us how to use the online tools on google spreadsheet.

dragonflies

today our class have made our own dragonflies out of colored paper, wire and pompoms. we have made the dragonflies because our topic this year is about the omaru creek we beleivie that if there are dragonflies that are flying or hovering around then that means that the omaru creek is clean and healthy. we have also decided that we are going to clean the part of the omaru creek that is located near the apirana avenue.

Maps Investigation

Walt:  conduct a statistical investigation.

We used google maps to determine the walking  distance to 124 Apirana Avenue. This is the entrance to the Omaru Creek that we are studying. The screenshot shows the route, distance and time from my house to the creek. Furthest ………………………… Jolie……………………….
